This series of images seeks to capture a Venice of memory - rather than any actual documentary reality. It is only at night, when all is calm and quiet, the sounds of water lapping at the canal edges when Venice manifests itself as its true and most potent - ‘La Serenissima’. These are sketchy images that convey and express that quiet serenity, timelessness and sometimes ghostliness that dwells in the memory, long after having departed.
